CIES acts in a complementary way to the Unified Health System (SUS), through partnerships with the public power to offer a whole line of care that includes screening, consultations, diagnostic exams, treatment and control (monitoring and prevention), with a cost feasible for the Health Secretariats. The action is based on the values of the SUS chart and represents na economical, efficient and effective solution to the governments, which helps to reduce waiting times for medical care in the public sector.
The organization works with 11 medical specialties, with highly qualified professionals, modular units approved by inspection agencies and high technology equipment. The first long-term partnership with the public power took place in 2012, with the City of São José dos Campos (SP), at which time CIES served about 70% of the local repressed demand for examinations. Since 2013, CIES has partnered with the City of São Paulo (SP), through the Hora Certa Móvel Program, already having served more than 680 thousand patients and performed more than 1 million exams since the partnership began.
In 2015, CIES became public policy in São Paulo, with Law No. 16,133. Currently, CIES has 11 service centers in all regions of São Paulo, 9 of which are owned by the company and 2 are owned by the municipality.
In addition to São José dos Campos and São Paulo, CIES has worked in partnership with local governments in Belo Horizonte (MG), Joinville (SC), Mato Grosso do Sul (MS) and Rio de Janeiro
